How to take payments on a no-code app (no coding required)

You built an app — a booking page, a little shop, a service — and now you want to get paid. Good news: you can take real payments without writing code or running a server. Here's the simple, beginner-safe way, and how OttoAndMe does it with you.

The 3 steps

1

Create a free Stripe account

Go to stripe.com and sign up. It's free — Stripe only takes a small fee when you actually get paid. No website or code needed to start.

2

Make a Payment Link (or Buy Button)

In Stripe, open Payment Links (or Buy Button), set your price and what you're selling, and create it. Copy the link (or the Buy Button id + publishable key). These are safe to use in an app — never put your secret key in an app.

3

Add the Pay button to your app

In OttoAndMe, tell Otto you want to take payments and paste your Stripe link or Buy Button details. Otto wires a real Pay button into your app for you. When someone pays, the money goes straight to your Stripe account, and Stripe handles the cards and security.

Why this way? Stripe Payment Links and the Buy Button are hosted by Stripe, so there's no server to run and no risky payment code on your side — exactly right for a beginner. It's real Stripe, real money, on an app you built. (Taking payments is part of OttoAndMe Pro, $19/month.)
